Description
rosewood veneer, hand-painted metal face flanked by two gilt half columns, brass works, retains original Seth Thomas label (Connecticut), both doors with reverse-painted panels, possibly original gilt decoration with birds, scrolls and vines, with two weights, key and pendulum, 32-1/2 x 18-1/2 x 6 in. Old refinishing, minor veneer losses and separations, minor chips and cracks to gilt surface. Provenance: The Estate of the Late Bobby W. Alford
