Staffordshire White Saltglazed Stoneware Teapot and Cover, England, c. 1755, globular shape with crabstock handle and spout, polychrome enamel decorated with a peacock centering a field of flowers, foliage, and fruiting grapevines, ht. 4 3/4 in.
Condition: Cover: old repairs to finial and to two sizable rim chips.
Pot: minor glaze roughness along top rim; firing blemish along lip of spout; roughly 3" horizontal hairline to body.
