Description
A WILLIAM IV (1830-1837) INLAID MAHOGANY BOOKCASE CABINET, ENGLISH, EARLY/MID 19TH CENTURY, the molded, breakfront crown, over a flat frieze, above two mullion glazed window with a Chippendale Chinoiserie fretwork motif, opening to interior shelving, above three small interior drawers, surmounting a base with a central drawer flanked by two short drawers, each with string inlay and cock bead molding, over two inset panel cupboard doors, raised on a wide plinth base. Height: 92 3/4" Width: 50" Depth: 16 1/4"
Condition
Later wire for electricity, expected scratches, dents, losses and surface wear, replaced hardware, some glass replaced, but overall in good to very good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
