A PAIR OF LOUIS XV STYLE NEEDLEPOINT UPHOLSTERED WALNUT FAUTEUILS, LAST HALF 19TH CENTURY, the flower bloom carved crest rails over shield form upholstered backs, each upholstered with needlepoint embroidered with 17th century costumed figures of a man and woman, over bowed seats with bird and flower reserves centered by a foliate profusion, within upholstered arms, ending in cabochon carved hand terminals, raised on foliate carved cabriole legs ending in scrolled acanthus leaf feet, joined by a scrolled arched skirt, centering a shell fan foliate flourish. Some losses, rubbing, surface wear, some tears on one seat and mild losse and rubbing of needlepoint, and expected wear throughout, but overall in good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
