AN ANCIENT EGYPTIAN STYLE BRONZE FIGURE OF WALKING GODDESS BAST/BASTET, POSSIBLY LATE PERIOD (664-332), the ears with chased hairs, over a cat face with whiskers, the figure stands facing forward, extending one arm into the viewers space, and in the other hand, folding in at her waist, she holds an aegis, over a striped tunic dress with crosshatch pattern, standing in a walking pose, on a rectangular base, verso a crosshatch mark and other mark inscribed, raised on a custom wood plinth base. Height: 7 3/4" Width: 2" Depth: 3"
Greenish patina throughout, some elements now lost, base has residue of blue enamel but overall in good to very good condition, wear commensurate with age.
