A very Rare & Elaborate Pair of Japanese Gilt Bronze Dragon & Phoenix Bird Temple Vase Meiji 19th C. 22x11" Each. The vase has a trumpet mouth, and a neck designed with deep relief decoration with a dragon wrapping around the upper body, and phoenix birds and intricate foliage on the lower half of the vase. Sturdy bronze body with intricate carving. Meiji period - pre-1920. Traces of the original gold surface remain.
