Receiver marked on left side "J.G. M/71", marked on right rear "87.1883" & on right front w/ German Imperial crown proofs. Bbl. marked over chamber w/ "LFTP" & " ST DENIS". Straight bolt handle. Ladder rear sight graduated to 2000 meters & blade front sight. Sight has been modified w/ higher blade. Original blade retaining pin not present. Brass tip cleaning rod present. 2 Bbl. bands. Bottom swivels w/ Mauser QD type swivel in brass trigger guard bow. Steel buttplate. Walnut stock marked on right side of butt w/ "2" & marked on top of grip w/ "1", "J" & "50". CONDITION: stock has arsenal rework finish w/ light wear, dents & scratches. Metal has case colors on receiver & breech end of bbl. Bbl. fading blue turning patina w/ very light wear. Serial # matches on bbl. & buttplate. Bbl. 32.7". Receiver ring marked on top w/ "P. STEVENS MAASTRICHT". Bbl. marked on top left over chamber "1873" & "3508". Hinged rear sight. Sight has indistinct markings due to oxidation & fine pitting. Inverted V front sight. Replacement cleaning rod. 2 Bands retained by springs. Bottom swivel on lower band & butt. Steel buttplate numbered on top "3508" & "1890". Walnut stock marked on right butt w/ faint encircled Dutch crown over "W", "1875" & "MAASTRICHT". CONDITION: stock has been cleaned w/ wear, dents, scratches & staining. Sm. crack on left side of butt. Crack behind receiver tang & trigger guard. Cracks beside mag on both sides. Repaired chip as well as missing chip behind lower band. Notable dent in right side of forend by upper band. Metal was bright turning gray & patina w/ oxidation & light pitting throughout.
