COMPANY. Cal. 75. NSN. Bbl. 38 7/8". Bbl. has several British proofs near the breech. Iron lock w/ East India Co. rampant lion below the nipple. Brass trigger guard has what appears to be Sanskrit letter stampings. Brass buttplate, all ramrod thimbles & nosecap. Iron sling swivels. In front of nosecap is a "Lovell Catch" projecting out. This feature is an adaptation to use the Pattern 1839 bayonet. Iron ramrod. Full length stock. CONDITION: bbl. & lockplate have a dark patina. Lock holds both full & half cock. Brass has a nice, aged mellow patina. Ramrod may be a replacement. Stock generally shows light wear, however, there are 4 sm. pieced in repairs on the side of the bbl. channel. Very good bore. (01-15535/BF). ANTIQUE. $500-800.
