Cutdown rifle stock w/ cartouche on left side boxed “SWA 1890â€. Circled “P†behind trigger guard. Trapdoor curved buttplate. CONDITION: bbl. has original blue toning w/ dark patina. Stock has filled ramrod trench in front of bbl. band. Stock has dark oil finish w/ numerous knicks & dings. Dark bore w/ moderate pitting in grooves. (01-15392/BT). 2) S# 387225. Bbl. 32†w/ replacement German silver blade front sight. Standard rifle rear sight. Breechblock marked “US MODEL 1884â€. Lockplate marked “U.S. SPRINGFIELD†w/ eagle. Walnut 2 band rifle stock w/ metal nose cap. Curved steel buttplate marked “USâ€. Leather sling. CONDITION: bbl. retains good original blue up to front band muzzle has wear mixed w/ dark brown patina spots. Stock has a coat of added finish w/ numerous nicks & dings. Missing area of wood between muzzle and front bbl. band. Shiny bore w/ a few minor pits near muzzle. (01-15394/BT). BOTH ANTIQUE. $600-1000 for lot.
