Bbl. has bolster style conversion w/ rear facing percussion conversion hammer having frizzen remaining behind bolster. Lg. brass lock plate w/ bears head front having engraved castle & fisherman scene. Dbl. set triggers. Dovetail blade front sight w/ adj. V notch rear sight. Full length hardwood stock w/ club style butt. Brass fittings include lg. buttcap extending 2 1/4" upside of stock. Right & left sides of comb have lg. ornate pierced brass plates. Bottom of stock has brass trigger guard w/ ornate trigger plate & forestock plate. Left side of stock has lg. brass sideplate. Area around top tang & bottom of stock along & forward of trigger plate has relief carving. Brass tipped hardwood ramrod held by single brass pipe. Lock & sideplate are bordered by incise carving. Ramrod channel has moulded border. Weight: 10 lbs., 8 oz. CONDITION: metal is faded to patina. Hammer will cock when trigger is set. Stock shows heavy wear w/ added wood repairs in butt & forearm areas. Painted walnut forearm tip is broken & loose from rifle.
