Brass trigger guard, buttplate, sideplate, all bbl. thimbles & nosecap. 5 Silver bbl. pin escutcheons w/ 1 replacement brass example. There is a lg. 5 1/2" silver inlay at the cheek depicting the outline of an American eagle flying w/ a riband. Full stock w/ checkering at the wrist. Iron ramrod. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: powder horn measures 13 1/4" in length w/ turned wooden end plug & brass charger at the spout. Carrying ring near the plug is in the shape of a lion's head. CONDITION: bbl. & lock have a cleaned medium gray finish. Brass has been cleaned but is acquiring a mellow patina. Stock is worn & shows various dents & dings. There are minor losses behind the hammer & in front of the lockplate. There are tight cracks w/ glue visible in the bbl. channel near the nosecap. Fair bore. Powder horn has a wooden plug that is cracked & has a 1" loss at the edge. Horn has a missing attachment nail & corresponding crack. Brass charger functions but is quite loose & has a dark oxidized patina. Leather suspension strap attached, likely a later addition. (01-15520/BF). ANTIQUE. $400-700.
