1) UNMARKED W/ RANDALL LOCK. Cal. 38. NSN. 39 1/2" Unmarked oct. bbl. Engraved back action lock marked "JOSH. C. RANDALL WARRANTED". Joseph Randall was a lock maker from Philadelphia. Drum ignition. Stylized brass flash guard under nipple. Dbl. set triggers. Brass trigger guard, buttplate, toeplate, sm. sideplate & all ramrod thimbles. Wooden ramrod. Figured maple half stock. Pewter nosecap. CONDITION: bbl. has a dark patina. Lock has a gray cleaned finish. Lock holds a single cocking position. Brass has also been cleaned. Ramrod possibly a replacement. Stock has been heavily refinished. Good bore. (01-15146/BF). 2) N.N. RALPH MARKED. Cal. 34. NSN. 37 1/4" Heavy oct. bbl. engraved on the top flat "N.N. Ralph" in script. Neil Nye Ralph was a gunsmith from Gallipolis, Meigs County, Ohio. Engraved back action lock marked "G. GOULCHER". Bolster ignition. Dbl. set triggers. Brass trigger guard, buttplate, toeplate, sideplate & eagle shaped inlay in butt. Pewter nosecap. Iron ramrod thimbles. Copper star inlay behind cheekpiece. Wooden ramrod. CONDITION: bbl. has a medium gray cleaned patina. Lock has a dark patina & will not hold cock. Brass trigger guard, toeplate & buttplate have a mellow patina. Sideplate is heavily cleaned & possibly replaced. Star inlay also has been heavily cleaned or possibly replaced. Bbl. thimbles have been resoldered. Stock has been heavily refinished. Fair to good bore. (01-15151/BF). 3) UNMARKED W/ TRUITT LOCK. Cal. 34. NSN. 36" Oct. bbl. We believe this to be a boys rifle due to the overall diminutive nature of the gun. Bbl. has decorative engraving on the top flat near the bolster. Engraved hammer & lock marked "TRUITT BROS & CO". Drum ignition. Dbl. set triggers. Brass trigger guard, buttplate, lg. toeplate, sideplate, 2 diamond shaped escutcheons on bbl. channel, all ramrod thimbles & nosecap. Wooden ramrod. Tiger maple long half stock. CONDITION: bbl. has a light gray cleaned finish. Lock has a dark patina & will not hold cock. There are 2 brass plate & screw repairs, at the top of the lock behind the hammer & in front of the lock. Brass has a cleaned finish. Stock has been heavily refinished. Poor bore. PROVENANCE: Estate Firearms Collection of Charles McFarland. (01-15154/BF). ALL ANTIQUE. $800-1300 for lot.
