1) Overall length: 37". Blade length: 22 5/8". Blade is engraved over 3/4 of its length w/ various foliate motifs & a panel that reads "LONDON CHARLES CLEMENTS LIMITED". Solid wood cane body probably made from a branch. Copper tip. CONDITION: blade shows substantial original factory polish. Cane itself shows light to moderate wear. 2) Overall length: 32 1/4". Blade length: 26 3/4". Blade is carved & decorated in the Spanish rapier style. It is likely the blade has been repurposed from an earlier rapier. Body of cane is missing. Top of cane shaft is hard wood w/ a nickel silver ferrule. Handle is carved horn. CONDITION: blade has a medium dark mottled finish. Cane shaft top is split in 2 places. Handle shows some chipping. 3) Overall length: 36 5/8". Blade length: 27 1/2". Blade is of square form & stamped "SOLINGEN" w/ 2 associated decorative stampings. Body of cane is ebonized wood w/ a silver central ferrule & a monogrammed silver collar. Tip is brass. Handle appears to be oak. CONDITION: blade has a light gray cleaned finish. Body of cane shows notable abrasions & a few splits in the wood. Handle shows notable wear w/ a crack & separation at the top. 4) Overall length: 35 1/2". Blade length: 22 3/4". Blade is marked "INDIA". Body of cane is hardwood w/ decorative carvings at the top & bottom. Brass tip. Handle has a brass ferrule & lion head pommel cap. Grip is decorated carved bone & black horn. CONDITION: blade shows light wear. Cane body shows moderate wear throughout. 5) Overall length: 33 3/4". Blade length: 19 1/4". Unmarked blade is of square form. Body of cane is bamboo w/ a silver throat & tip. Handle is made from bamboo root. CONDITION: blade has a medium gray patina. Body of cane has a few tight splits. Handle is worn w/ a few losses. (02-10615/BF). $400-600 for lot.
