Description
This 1895 Deluxe rifle is basically a standard .30 US with round barrel, sporting sights, blued finish with the deluxe feature being the triple X checkered walnut stock, Winchester logo checkered rubber buttplate and ebony forend tip. CONDITION: All metal is a nice, smooth blue-brown patina with generous blue on magazine and scattered bright blue on frame. Varnish has been added to forend. Fine action. Well pronounced, strong rifling with frosted grooves. Handsome rifle that would benefit from cleaning the varnish out of the forward checkering. Factory research verifies that this rifle left the factory on October 6th, 1899 as a .30 caliber rifle with fancy checkered stock and shotgun butt.
