Frederick Thomas Baker, London gun maker located at 88 Fleet Street 1858 to 1900. This lovely big bore side by side shotgun features brown Damascus barrels. Sidelocks, frame, lever, hammer, top of buttplate and forend release are all beautifully London engraved in ultra fine miniature scroll. Barrels are fully English proofed on the underside. Checkered walnut splinter forend has lever release. Equipped with double triggers, double hammers. It is a ten gauge cartridge, under lever release, non-ejector. The actual butt of the shotgun is finely checkered with engraved toe and heel. Rear sling swivel and brass ID plaque. CONDITION: Barrels retain 80% of the reapplied finish with the majority of the Damascus pattern still visible. Frame is basically gun metal grey. Wood to metal fit is excellent with sharp checkering, English straight grip, beautiful flame grain oil finished walnut stock in excellent condition. Action locks up tight. Mirror bores.
