Lot 6006
This lot consists of a HAND PAINTED mixed media (ink and watercolor) on paper, Hand Signed "Andy Warhol" at lower left corner. Image is a fabulous portrayal of a woman whose body is fully adorned with tattoos. She wears a corset and Victorian-style boots, as well as a large golden plume atop her head. Typewritten attachment on the reverse side of this piece reads, "ANDY WARHOL, 'A design for a tattooed girl'", with two additional red stamps bearing the name of the Stable Gallery of New York and exhibition dates. Attachment also bears the seal of the estate of Andy Warhol, which reads, "Authenticated by the estate of Andy Warhol".
