Handcrafted original Santa by noted artist Norma Decamp; #1 prototype, papier mache Santa with a teddy bear dangling from one hand, his other hand holding the rope to the bag of toys on his back, retains original $1100 price tag from The Christmas House, original "Norma DeCamp Designs" tag attached having typewritten explanation of design "This is #1, the very first in a line that I will be doing next year, 1995--He has high leather boots, and he is approx. 21" tall, wool vintage pants, and a burgundy velvet jacket, his bag is antique satin velvet. The body is slightly bent over and his fur is vintage fox. All of his toys are handmade. Norma Lizabeth Decamp!!!! 1994" and signed Norma DeCamp; mounted on round wooden base with metal label "Norma DeCamp Designs", bottom of base signed "Nov. 1994 #1 Prototype Norma DeCamp"; 21"H; minor losses to papier mache face, needs cleaning---Norma DeCamp, formerly of North Carolina, has built dioramas with antique toys and dolls for displays at Biltmore, Smithsonian, American Christmas Museum, Hagley Museum, Atlanta Toy and Doll Museum, John Phillip Sousa House, England's Brighton Sussex National Toy Museum, Rockefeller Center and Neiman-Marcus, among others.
