Handcrafted original papier mache elf, seated and holding a teddy bear in his lap, clothing made from antique fabrics, by noted artist Norma DeCamp; original "Norma DeCamp Designs" tag attached having typewritten note "#1 this is the first Elf I've ever done 1993"; inside of jacket signed "#1 Norma DeCamp"; 10 1/2"H; losses to papier mache face, needs cleaning---Norma DeCamp, formerly of North Carolina, has built dioramas with antique toys and dolls for displays at Biltmore, Smithsonian, American Christmas Museum, Hagley Museum, Atlanta Toy and Doll Museum, John Phillip Sousa House, England's Brighton Sussex National Toy Museum, Rockefeller Center and Neiman-Marcus, among others. She has also been featured in numerous magazines including Southern Living, Southern Accents, Better Homes and Gardens, Colonial Homes, Chicago Home and Garden, Early American Life, Collector's Showcase, and Inside Collector.
