Handcrafted original papier mache female street vendor doll under glass, wearing a lace trimmed dress under an embroidered and tattered brown velvet cape; holding a carton brimming with items for sale including miniature porcelains, sewing items, a candlestick, picture frames, jewelry, toys and other items; additional items for sale in a bag at her side and scattered around her feet; mounted on a fabric covered round base with metal tag to front "Wizard's Workbench / Norma DeCamp"; displayed in glass case having a mirrored wooden base; case 14 1/2" x 14 1/2", 21 1/2"H; some peeling to side of face---Norma DeCamp, formerly of North Carolina, has built dioramas with antique toys and dolls for displays at Biltmore, Smithsonian, American Christmas Museum, Hagley Museum, Atlanta Toy and Doll Museum, John Phillip Sousa House, England's Brighton Sussex National Toy Museum, Rockefeller Center and Neiman-Marcus, among others. She has also been featured in numerous magazines including Southern Living, Southern Accents, Better Homes and Gardens, Colonial Homes, Chicago Home and Garden, Early American Life, Collector's Showcase, and Inside Collector.
