Early cloth boards crudely rebacked, stained and with loss. Contents with foxing and occasional marginal tears/chips, one leaf with chip removing one or two letters from the end of several lines of text, contents Good overall. **************************** FIRST EDITION, CAPTAIN B. D. MCKIE'S COPY, WITH HIS OWNERSHIP INSCRIPTION TO PASTEDOWN ("Capt. McKie, Corsicana, 1862".) McKie was a Texas Cavalry Officer. He organized Navarro's Spies, and he served in the 20th Texas Cavalry. Also accompanying this lot is a limited edition copy of John Spencer's "Confederate Guns of Navarro County," Corsicana (TX), 1986, #22 of 500 signed copies.
