Two very scarce first edition by the Puglia theologian: the first one is devoted to St. Paul Apostle; and the second to an ideal Ecclesiastic Republic.

Padovano de Grassis was an Italian theologian and biblical scholar from a noble family of Barletta, author of many latin works; he also was one of the eight members that, on 26 March 1555, founded the "Monte di Pietà" (Pawn) of Barletta.

OCLC, 751414627, lists only two copies in USA of the first work (at Cornell University Library, Ithaca, NY and at University of Vermont, Bailey/Howe Library, Burlington, VT).
The second work is not present in US libraries: OCLC, 457279078 locates out of Italy only two copies worldwide, both in France.

Excellent and unsophisticated copies, bound together in an original vellum binding.
