A preliminary poster for the momentous Berlin Summer Games of 1936, in which the American track star Jesse Owens would best Germany's fastest, and stare down Hitler's racism. The design shows the Roman chariot on top of the Brandenburg Gate; a later, official poster for the Berlin Games would also feature the Brandenburg Gate.
It measures approximately 24 1/2 x 40 inches and is in B (slightAbrasions in bottom text area) condition.
Poster has been laid on linen for preservation.
