Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A collection of three unique Roman key rings, each a simple bronze band with a cast, notched key projecting from it. Some key rings may have been worn by women, as the "keepers of the keys" in the household, but others were used simply as jewelry and even ceremonial votive offerings. The smallest is not wearable. The other two are US size 6.5 and US size 7. Largest with key included: 0.4" W (1 cm)
