Signed and dated "JWA Scott '65" l.l., a tag from the Inventory of American
Paintings, National Museum of American Art, Smithsonian Institution, affixed to the reverse.
Oil on canvas, 12 x 18 in. (30.5 x 45.7 cm), framed.
Condition: Lined, retouch, varnish inconsistencies, craquelure, surface grime.

Condition

The lining is adhered with Beva or similar. Fine craquelure appears stable. Retouch is a few scattered small areas (predominately in the sky and top edge of the composition) and a few scattered dots and very small areas (center and l.r.). The work might possibly benefit from a gentle cleaning.
