Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Decree

Production-printed Educational Decree created for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. In the film the new tyrannical headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizarding, Dolores Umbridge, begins issuing a series of Educational Decrees that forbid and restrict student conduct. The Decrees were hung on a wall outside the main hall of Hogwarts in wooden frames and were all eventually destroyed by a prank perpetrated by the Weasley twins. This paper prop is an example of one of the many decrees issued and requires students to 'observe new restrictions regarding Library and Common Room access.' The Decree is printed on thin, tan paper in black and red ink and measures 9.75 x 14.375 inches.
