Poltergeist SFX Reference Hand

Production-made special effects reference ghost hand created for Poltergeist directed by Tobe Hooper and released in 1982. In the film a ghostly, smoke-like hand comes out of a TV screen and flies across the room and into a wall. The effect was accomplished through animation and this hand was used as reference for the animators and resembles the hand as it just comes out of the TV screen. The hand is made of clear resin and is sculpted to look like a ghostly skeleton hand with long fingers. The hand measures approximately 7 x 6 x 4 inches.
