ENGLISH MASON'S IRONSTONE CERAMIC PLATES, LOT OF FIVE, comprising one 8" D plate having underglaze blue transfer and overglaze red enamel "Peacock" pattern having impressed linear "MASON'S PATENT IRONSTONE CHINA" mark, one 9 1/2" D plate having the "Flowers and Wheel" pattern with impressed linear Mason's mark, and three 10" D plates with a central stylized floral medallion pattern, having floral borders with Imari-style color palette and gilt highlights. First half 19th century.
Each with some losses to enamel and/or gilt decoration and expected scratches to interior from use, four otherwise undamaged; one plate with moderate hairline on rim. One plate with two glazed-over firing separations, as made.
