Pre-Columbian, Costa Rica, Guanacaste-Nicoya, ca. 200 to 600 CE. A seafoam green jade axe god carved and string cut to represent an abstract zoomorphic form with two partially drilled eyes and incised linear motifs. Bilaterally drilled on each side for former suspension. In addition to its intriguing iconography, the stone itself is inherently beautiful presenting gorgeous seafoam green hues and milky white inclusions.
