GORGEOUS Circa 1850 LARGE 24pcs "C.T. ALTWASSER" GOLD GILT PORCELAIN TEA & COFFEE SERVICE. An absolutely Stunning mid 19th Century German Porcelain Tea and Coffee Service. The Service is top notch quality being marked for the fine German Porcelain factory of "C.T. Altwasser" and this mark was only used from 1845 to 1850. The Service is so opulent and elegant being a pure white porcelain with rich Gold Gilding throughout. I also love the spectacular Spouts and Finials on the Tea and Coffee Pots. The Service is in excellent condition for being 165 years or so old with the Coffee Pot finial missing part of a leaf and the cream pitcher having a chip to the base plus a few other small chips that are not noticeable unless you are examining the set closely. Due to the size and weight the set is being sold as is. The Service is very large and makes a grand display on a sideboard or Tea Wagon with the Coffee Pot measuring approx 10-1/2 inches tall by 8-1/2 inches long, the Teapot measuring 7-1/2 inches tall by 9-1/2 inches long, the Cups standing 2-3/4 inches tall at the rim and the Saucers measuring 6 inches across.
