Macedonia was a coastal region bordering the Aegean sea, in modern day Greece. So called "Greek" coins, minted by numberless city states in late antiquity, and featuring Greek script, can sometimes by identified by virtue of their depiction of a thing or an entity associated with one particular locale. This coin features on its reverse a club, an object seen primarily on Macadonian coinage. Obverse: Poseidon right. Left: A club surrounded with a Greek inscription. JC-30101-130 JC-30230
