Grand Tour Patinated Bronze of "Antinous"

20th century, after the 2nd century Roman marble (itself a copy of a 4th century BCE Greek sculpture of Hermes) discovered at the Villa of Hadrian and now conserved at the Capitoline Museum, Rome, erroneously inscribed "Musee de Naples" on self-base.

Condition

In overall good condition with scattered nicks, faint scratches, rubbing and surface abrasions. Slight separation with accretions at join of proper right upper arm. Soiling/accretions in more deeply modeled areas. Some oxidizing and roughening to surface of base. All consistent with age and material.
