American (Pennsylvania), mid-19th century. A salt-glazed cobalt decorated cake crock, with a knobbed lid, stamped John Bell / Waynesboro below and above the handle on the crock and on the interior of the lid; ht. 6.75 in., dia. 9.25 in.


Lid may not be original to crock.
The crock has a hairline crack from the top of the rim and continues downward to the side of the crock. The crack does not go through to the interior of the crock. The lid has a small chip to its edge and interior.
