An early 20th century gold split and seed pearl necklace. Comprising three seed and split pearl flower and crescent clusters, with split pearl star graduated fringe spacers and belcher-link back-chain. Length 40cms. Weight 16.7gms.

Condition

  • Overall condition good. Some surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Gem-set section appears to have been recently polished.
  • Some discolouration to the back-chain.
  • Back chain appears to be unoriginal to the front section.
  • Vacant suspension loop to the reverse of the central panel.
  • Comprising components of a similar age.
  • Replacement gems.
  • Seed pearls untested for natural origin.
  • Seed and split pearls are a creamy white colour, with rose and greenish overtones.
  • Seed and split pearls in good condition with minor abrasions.
  • Width (at widest) 1.5cms.
