An early 20th century 18ct gold split pearl necklace. The split pearl star and crescent motif, to the graduated split pearl alternating star and circle sides and split pearl back-chain. Length 39cms. Weight 19.3gms.

Condition

  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Few split pearls discoloured.
  • Split pearls are mostly a well matched pearly white hue. Varied surface lustre and finish. Many with either glue to the surface or noticeable surface wear. Two split pearls chipped.
  • Many probable replacement split pearls, wear to the collets.
  • Crescent panel with hook to reverse to suspend a pendant.
