Collection of eight Civil War period letters written by William Foster Morgan, Company C, 2nd Massachusetts Volunteers. Letters penned between November 1862 to May 1864. Morgan was with his regiment at Antietam, Fredericksburg, and Chancellorsville. Additionally he was wounded in action at Gettysburg July 3rd Culp's Hill. The series of letters describes camp life, battles and casualties. A fine group of Civil War correspondence with historical research housed in binder with notes.
