Wonderful natural Ordovician ocean life fossil group with large Selenopeltis trilobite, brittlestar, and other bivalves, Ordovician Period, 488 – 433 million years ago, Anti-Atlas Mountains. An excellent museum-grade display for a snapshot of the prehistoric ocean life of the Ordovician Period in North Africa. The fossil shows a natural grouping of a very large Selenopeltis trilobite, a brittlestar starfish, and what appears to be some type of negative impressions of large bivalves, or possibly giant brachiopods. This remarkable specimen shows authentic detail and anatomy, as well as natural color. All fossils complete and with no restoration, however, there is some repair to the fossil as a whole for stabilization. A fantastic multiple ancient life form fossil of the prehistoric ocean's former denizens! 15 in x 13 in overall; the trilobite 7 inches in length. Ex French private collection.
