Antique Colt, SAA Revolver, .45 Colt caliber with 4 3/4" barrel, manufactured 1878, SN 44769 matches on the frame, trigger guard, and back strap with the last four digits faintly marked on the cylinder. The 1 line barrel address is worn, difficult to read and an indication that the barrel has been shortened. The 3 line patent dates on the frame are clear and readable. The .45 caliber marking on the trigger guard is worn and missing. The ejector housing, hammer and grips are replacements. The action functions but is loose, the bore is good with slight roughness.
