Suite of Eight George III-Style Mahogany Dining Chairs
19th century, in the Chippendale taste, comprised of two armchairs and six side chairs, each with a shaped crest rail, pierced splat, slip seat and cabriole legs on pad feet, now upholstered in blue brocade.
In overall very good condition, with normal minor mars, shrinkage and wear, most notably scuffs to the
No movement exhibited in the arms of the armchairs, or at the glue joints of stiles/legs/top rail and seat
rail, save for one side chair which exhibits some looseness at the joint of a rear leg and the rear seat rail.
Some minor nicks and scuffs including chips/flakes to the scroll tip on one armchair stile and an inner scroll
tip to a side chair.
An applied corner block is missing from the inside edge of one front leg.
Seat upholstery is in very good condition.
