Shenandoah Valley Multi-Glazed Redware Cream Pitcher, attributed to S. Bell & Sons or J. Eberly & Co., Strasburg, VA, circa 1890, ovoid pitcher with footed base and flared collar, the surface decorated with streaks of copper and manganese over a cream-colored slip ground and covered in a clear lead glaze. Excellent color, retaining a brilliant luster. A faint 1 1/4" Y-shaped line at base. A small in-the-firing contact mark to top of handle. A few glaze flakes to rim and a glaze flake to edge of spout. Very minor base wear. H 6 1/8".
