Jerome Simon, Conceptual lighted clock, Design in Time & Light, designed 1981, scratch signed and dated "J. Simon, March 13, '81" on bottom, with a paper label as well. There is an example in MoMA in NYC. 14.5″h x 12″diameter x 9″d . “A single light beam is magnified through the brass and glass base, and periscopes through the underside of the central tube. This is refracted against the tiny motorized mirrors, which beam the lights onto the frosted glass area of the clock face. There is a thin beam for both the second and minute hands, and a larger, circular light for the hour hand. The clock motor is housed in the circular "can" cylinder suspended above the clock base.†This example has an operative motor, though the light beams are not very bright.
