Description
RARE OWL by the Herter's Sporting Goods Co., Waseca, MN, circa 1947. Very good weathered original paint and good structural condition. Raised split-tail caving. Small chip to back of left ear. Retains original claw beak and original glass eyes. Retains two screw eyes on either side of head. Two dowel legs and metal rod for mounting. For an almost identical example, see "North American Decoys" by K. Trayer, page 203. A very fine example from this early factory.
