Vintage Powder Box Casket gilt Bronze miniature painting , signed Edouard Vienot, Edouard Vienor born in the city of Fontainebleau, on September 13, 1804, he was a pupil of the painters Louis Hersent (1777-1860) and Paulin Guérin (1783-1855). On October 4, 1822, he joined the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. During 1826 and 1827, he worked in London signing his works as Le Chevalier Viennot and placing his studio at 20 York Street, Portman Square. Back in France, he settled in Paris, placing his studio at number 92 on rue de la Victoire. Between 1831 and 1870, a large part of his works were exhibited in the famed Salon de Paris, official art exhibition of the Academy of Fine Arts of France. On August 20, 1869, he would be appointed Retratista and Supplier of the Imperial House by Emperor Pedro II of Brazil, allowing him to use imperial weapons to announce himself.
