French modernist desk lamp JUMO from 1950's attributed to Eileen Gray , an important lamp making company from France who used the best designer of their time. Eileen Gray (1878 - 1976), avant guarde modernist pioneer ,her personality which made her one of the protagonists of the history of twentieth century design, continues to influence our modern way of living . It is to be noted that she was part of the UAM ( Union des Artistes Modernes ).
