Late 18th to early 19th century netsuke made out of solid fat piece of mother of pearl in simple rectangular shape and with a loop on the back for hanging. Most probably made out of a large seashell from Turbo family with beautiful play of light on the surface and nice green areas. Wonderful wear and patina, unusual piece of material, very pleasant to hold.
