A gorgeous strand of Egyptian faience beads. The beads are quite varied and date from the New Kingdom through the Late Period, c. 1570 - 332 BC, and include faience tubular beads of a heavy stock and several types of faience disc beads, all with beautiful vibrant blue color. L: 36 in (91.2 cm). Ex estate of Maria (Lila) Decatur Mayo Deyo Garnett, niece of Ruth Deyo; Ex collection of Ruth Deyo, acquired early-mid 1900's. Mrs. Deyo was a world-renowned musician and personality, well-known for her appreciation of Egyptian culture.
