A Roman ceramic lamp with scene depicting two winged Putti, 1st - 2nd Century AD, one holds a wreath the other a garland, the scene bordered with a ridge, the shoulders adorned with laurel bundles; on bottom maker's mark within a low ring foot. L: 3 3/4 in (9.5 cm). Light deposits, traces of orange slip. Ex estate of architect Paul-Henri Lapointe acquired in Paris throughout the 1940s-60s.
