A group of 3 ceramic lamps from the Holy Land. Lot includes a Byzantine type, c. 6th - 7th Century AD, with raised lines around the shoulders, conical handle and beautiful decorated cruciform device at center of ring foot, L: 3 1/2 in (8.2 cm), and two Byzantine/Islamic types, c. 7th - 8th Century AD, one with round body, ring handle and low ring base, L: 3 3/4 in (8.7 cm), and a circular lamp with ridge around top of shoulder, pronounced carination and flattened foot, L: 3 1/4 in (8.3 cm). Each well-preserved with carbon and mineral deposits. Ex Northern Virginia private collection acquired prior to 1982.
