A ‘Widow’s Mite’ from the Bible set into a custom silver ring. The coin is a famous ‘Poor Widow’s Mite’ from biblical Judaea, struck c. 103 - 76 BC. It features the Seleucid anchor with Greek inscription on one side and a wheel with 8-Ray spokes on the other as well as a Hebrew inscription ‘Yehonatan the King’. The coin is set into a gorgeous custom .925 silver men’s ring. Coin diameter 10.5 mm. Ring US size 10 ¼. An excellent, wearable piece of early Christian history! Ex Berkeley, CA private collection.
