Scott Williams (born 1956) is a painter, muralist and bookmaker sometimes referred to as the godfather of stencil art in San Francisco. Williams has done stencil murals for such iconic spaces in San Francisco as DNA Lounge, Leather Tongue Video, Pedal Revolution and The Lab. While Williams has largely survived on the margins of the art world, he was invited to create a large installation at Yerba Buena Center of the Arts, and he was given the Adeline Kent Award and a retrospective at the San Francisco Art Institute.
