Louis XV-Style Malachite Vitrine

20th century, the molded cornice centered by a scrolling foliate ormolu crest, above three full-length doors, the upper section glazed and opening to a mirrored interior with two conforming glass shelves, a padded ivory moire floor and padded lower storage area, raised on splayed legs ending in sabots, the whole with ormolu mounts and millwork, the entirety veneered in malachite.
h. 81", w. 63", d. 19"

In overall very good condition. The case appears to be tight and solid with no movement observed in its frame or at the joints of the legs and case. Doors open and close freely. Locks present. *KEY IS PRESENT. There are some scattered imperfections in the malachite cladding and small losses. More notable losses include a loss about 2" high x 1/4" deep where one of the side door latches has apparently rubbed the case; losses on one side, on the edge against the rear wall, about 2-1/2" high x 1" deep and 3-1/2" high x 1-1/2" deep; two losses to the uppermost cornice molding on one side of the case and some losses to the bottoms of the feet largely obscured by the bronze mounts. The ormolu mount around the glazed panel on one side/return of the case exhibits a break and a small missing piece about 1/2" long. Interior moire lining in overall very good, approaching excellent, condition.
